Cirrus vacuum cleaners are made using the same patent as Riccar and Simplicity vacuums. These machines can even use the same belts, filters, roller brushes, and bags as Riccar and Simplicity upright vacuums, but at about half the cost, the Cirrus brand is less expensive alternative.

The CR89 also is the only residential model that comes packaged with the a variable speed motor control. This allows you to slow the brush speed and the suction power, when doing delicate oriental rugs, or Berber carpeting. Rather then straddling the rug and fighting with it to try and it hold down, simply lower the variable suction control so you are not sucking the rug into the vacuum cleaner.
The CR89 also comes standard with HEPA exhaust filter. For homes with allergies or breathing issues, the Cirrus CR89 is ideal. The HEPA filter is very efficient at capturing microscopic particles that cause allergy sufferers major problems such as dust mites, pollen, animal dander, and bacteria.
